Be careful what you say you will NEVER do!
Isn’t that true? I have said this so many times then turned around and heard God echoing my words back to me. Author and ministry leader Leanna Cinquanta sat in her college class hearing the facts about India’s 75 million children, many are malnourished and orphaned. Thousands are trafficked into the sex industry. Only 50% are educated. “So India is one of the most difficult mission fields in the world,” she heard her instructor say.
“Of all the nations in the world, I am not going to India,” Leanna vowed to herself.
Yet, in her encounter with God, she clearly heard:
“INDIA! I must liberate the captives in India! My Beloved died and rose again for their freedom. He has prepared me for this destiny. I must bring His people out of bondage!”
With this revelation, Leanna is transported into an amazing journey that makes her into a mission strategist and founder of TellAsia Ministries.
Leanna’s story and ministry to the hurting people of India is amazing. She truly is inspiring and her testimony and conversion is a beautiful
story. I found myself waiting for that moment and wondering how God would use her. Ultimately, she began TellAsia Ministries in India.
Although Leanna’s upbringing and conversion are intriguing, I was captivated by her obedience to God’s call and her ministry. To me this was the real heart and soul of this book. I applaud her for her faithfulness and witnessing to the people of India and now through sharing this story in this book, she is sharing it with the rest of the world.
As a child, Leanna’s young world pulsed with adventure, including emergency moves across the country in an old Dodge Dart with a dismantled airplane strapped to the roof.
By age fifteen, she had become an equestrian champion with sights fixed on the Olympics. Then, in a series of stunning revelations, Jesus appeared to her and revolutionized her life. A few years later, not expecting to return alive, she wrote a will for her parents, left everything behind, and embarked for northern India with a one-way ticket and a mission: to rescue people trapped in darkness.
This firsthand, often-supernatural account follows the rigors, heartaches, and miracles of a life propelled by faith into one of the poorest and darkest places on earth. Leanna’s fearless determination to shine Jesus’ light into the shadows–whether helping the destitute in small villages or reaching girls abused in the sex-trafficking trade–will thrill and inspire you to believe his power can change even your most trying circumstances.
