Friends, for the first time ever I’m participating in a Bloggy Carnival. The gist of it’s a breeze – just look through the posts made any time during September or October and leave at least one relevant comment on at least one of those posts – other than this one. The comments must apply to the post, and consist of more than just “great post.” ( Sorry, but I’m going to be a stickler on this … ENTRIES NOT ABIDING BY THIS SINGLE RULE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.) You may enter up to 5 (five) times, but each entry must be on a different post and must apply to that particular post. When you make a comment, please make sure to leave an e-mail address or post using your google account so I have a way to contact you if you win. If I don’t have a way to contact you directly, I will choose another winner. Enter by midnight October 31st for your chance to win!

I’m drawing three (3) names. The first winner will receive a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble. The second winner gets a new Homedics Bubble Bliss heated foot spa. The third winner gets autographed copies of Sharon Hinck’s Becky Miller series books: The Secret Life of Becky Miller and Renovating Becky Miller.

    I read Dec. 3, 2007, since that’s my birthday. I have never heard of the author Virginia Smith, but I will now have to check her out. (perhaps buy one of her books with the B&N card if I win?) Bluegrass Peril sounds like my kind of book!

    Ok, I read your posts on Ben vs. Hersheys and I had no idea they were going to change! It makes me want to buy a new freezer and fill it with bars because there is nothing like a Hershey bar! Or kiss…you get the point. Granted I’m pregnant now, but even when I’m not I just love chocolate! I may have to send a letter because my comment is just getting too long! Good luck!

    I read your July 2007 post about your fun adventure camping and tubing and how Sarah lost a tooth during your first family camping trip. Sounds like a crazy adventure! We haven’t yet done the camping thing with our family so now I have an idea of what could happen 😉

    Ok first things first.
    Ben sounds like a man on a mission. God bless him for being a stand-up guy on the plea with the Hershey Company.

    Love his sweet aproach. That whole grandparent thing….well let’s just say…if I worked for Hershey….I’d be sold on making the changes he has requested!

    And….I think your blog is really cool.
    I’m happy I found it.

    I read your post The Mat from Jan. ’07. I have never heard the expression “mat of prayer” before–food for thought. What a wonderful illustration of supporting our friends in prayer. This give me new eyes for that Bible passage. Good. Thanks for sharing.
