You are not EVEN going to believe what went down at our table after I made my family this delicious Cran-Turkey! Don’t miss this Tiede Family Insanity/Memory Making. You have GOT to try this!! You will all love it!

I found a modified version of this recipe on Pinterest. Here’s the link. (Props to Jamie!) I modified it only slightly because of the size of my bird and because my kids drank all of the orange juice that she recommends using. LOL. This IS the Tiede house after all, what do you expect? [Not what happens at the end of this post … that’s for sure!]

1. Park a big ol’ turkey breast in your crockpot. Mine was about 8 pounds with the bone.

2. Mix together:

1 can of whole cranberry sauce

1 package onion soup mix

3 cups of chicken broth

3. Pour the mixture over your turkey and let that bird cook on LOW for 8-9 hours.

I wish I could do a scratch and sniff post so you could experience the level of savory yumminess that wafted through our house all day. Sorry.

And now for the best part … the Tiede children might remember this night as the night Mom lost it … and we’ve never had so much fun at a meal!

After one of my nameless children used her fingers to grab a handful of green beans for her plate, I believe I said something like, “Oh, so this is the meal we all eat with our fingers.” The kids all looked at me, and in that moment I decided I wasn’t kidding. Things have been way too serious around here for far too long.

And with that … we THOROUGHLY enjoyed our turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes, and GRAVY with our fingers!
